master planning
My experience in urban planning has developed through my work at the Ministry of Housing in Peru and JM Goldson LLC, where I have participated in developing 12 master plans: 4 in Peru and 8 in Massachusetts.
These processes have covered all key stages, from diagnostics—including community engagement—to the formulation of proposals and, in the case of Peru, the development of regulations.
Throughout these projects, I have learned how to translate data, community needs, and regulations into concrete strategies for the sustainable growth of cities.
What is master planning?
Master planning is the process of designing and managing the growth of cities to make them more equitable and sustainable. A master plan uses tools such as spatial analysis, zoning, and community engagement to define strategies for housing, transportation, land use, and climate resilience.
